Coats and jackets are among the many ways people are getting work done, but there are other ways too.
As part of a project called WeWork, a new platform for companies to collaborate with one another, a team of five designers from the Netherlands built a wool-lined jacket that could be worn in a variety of ways.
“I had been thinking about what I wanted to wear, but I thought I would be more comfortable in a wool jacket,” co-founder Casey Coates said in an interview with The Verge.
“We didn’t want to have any visible seams on the jacket, so we decided to do a jacket with a slit, and we put a button at the neck to make it look more feminine.”
The team wanted to show off the jacket’s versatility.
They took the traditional look from a wool dress and applied a soft fabric to the top, creating an open, buttoned silhouette.
The jacket also features a zip pocket, two-way pockets, and two side pockets.
The result is a jacket that is surprisingly warm, comfortable, and flattering to the skin.
It also has a built-in microphone, which helps it communicate with other devices when you’re out and about.
“This jacket will be the perfect piece of workwear for me to use in meetings, on my work trips, or to commute to work,” Coates explained.
The team went with the classic look because they wanted to use it for work.
“The classic look has always been the thing I want to wear,” Coats said.
“It’s the one thing I can wear when I’m on the run, and I think it’s what everyone wants.”
The wool jacket has been available in three sizes and comes in four colors.
I love it, and it has a really nice soft texture.
It’s soft and cozy, but it also has the versatility of being worn in all sorts of ways: on the job, while traveling, while sleeping, while working, and even when out and out.
You can buy it here on WeWork for $180.
