A study by researchers at the University of Sydney suggests that covering your head with a T shirt can increase your risk of tooth decay.
The study involved a group of male volunteers who wore a T shirts as a regular shirt or as a top coat.
They were followed for six months and their dental health was measured using a dental questionnaire.
Researchers also collected saliva samples for a range of markers including total testosterone and estradiol levels.
What did they find?
Researchers found that participants wearing T shirts had significantly higher levels of testosterone, and higher levels for estradion than those wearing a T jacket.
It was found that a T top coat also had higher testosterone than a T tee.
And when participants were compared to those wearing the T tee, the T shirt was associated with a higher risk of dental caries.
